Dara Sahebjami
Dara Sahebjami leads a team that supports investment-making and management across the foundation. Their work includes guiding program teams through the investment process and helping them address critical compliance issues. They also work closely with the IT team and others to oversee and improve the tools and processes used to make and manage investments.
Earlier, Dara led the Contracts Solutions team and served as business partner to numerous program teams, including K-12 Education, Postsecondary Success, Agricultural Development, and Vaccine Development.
Before joining the foundation in 2013, Dara was an attorney practicing in Seattle, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. He also co-founded, and still co-owns, Longman & Eagle, an award-winning restaurant and hotel business in Chicago.
Dara is a graduate of Northwestern University and Georgetown University Law Center.
In his spare time, Dara enjoys cooking, eating, shopping for, reading about, searching for, and dreaming of food. He also plays bass guitar in various musical groups, including The Honeyjacks, a country-folk band he started with his wife and neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
