We opened our London office in 2010 to support the foundation’s activities in Europe, the Middle East, and East Asia. The London team works with grantees and partners across these regions to build and sustain donor government support and foster commitment to advancing global health and development goals. The office is also home to a number of staff who work on specific foundation initiatives in global health, development, and education.

Europe
The foundation has worked within Europe since its inception, and our European partners—including governments, universities, nongovernmental organizations, community groups, and research institutes—have been instrumental in advancing our global health and development goals.
Middle East
The foundation’s Middle East team, based in London, works to address pressing needs in Arab countries and helps strengthen the role of Middle Eastern donor countries and philanthropists in global health and development.
Japan
We work with various sectors in Japan to advance solutions to health and development challenges faced by people in the world’s poorest countries.
