Nancy Martin
Nancy Martin, MD PharmD FCP, serves as a Deputy Director of the GHIDE Integrated Development Division of Global Health at the Gates Foundation. She enables the Foundation’s programs with coordinating cross-discipline product development expertise in support of evidence-based, quality decision making. Nancy comes to the Gates Foundation with over 25 years of pharmaceutical executive leadership. Her career began at Hoffmann-La Roche and evolved to opportunities at Aventis, Astellas, Pfizer, Baxter and several biotech companies with positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President, Global Medical Head, Vice Presided Global Clinical and Preclinical Development, and Executive Vice President of R&D and Chief Medical Officer. Nancy brings end-to-end product development experience across drugs, biologics, biosimilars, devices, as well as cell and gene therapies with over 50 NDA/MAA approvals. Nancy received her Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers University and Doctor of Pharmacy at University of Illinois College of Pharmacy with post-doctoral fellowship training in clinical pharmacology.
