Kathleen Walsh

Deputy Director, Strategy, Planning & Management

Kathleen Walsh oversees the strategic planning, operations, and measurement work for the Washington State, Economic Mobility and Opportunity, and U.S. Charters strategies as a deputy director of Strategy, Planning and Management for the Office of the President in the U.S. Program.

Before joining the U.S. Program, Kathleen served as the deputy director for Strategy and Country Operations for our China office in Beijing, as deputy director for our Global Delivery Program, and as interim director and chief of staff for Chris Elias, president of the Global Development Program. Before joining the foundation, Kathleen spent 15 years in the software development industry, two of them living in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Kathleen holds a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and an M.A. in information science from the University of Washington.
