Patrick Methvin

Patrick leads the foundation’s efforts to ensure education works as a pathway to good jobs and upward mobility for far more Americans.    

Patrick joined the foundation in 2013 and has worked across several aspects of its U.S. education strategy, spanning K-12, pathways, and postsecondary education. His work has included partnering with institutions to redesign how they serve students, advancing new solutions and technologies, and strengthening the policy, communications, and data infrastructure that make lasting progress possible. Across these roles, Patrick has focused on how the different parts of the education continuum can work together to create more opportunities for students to thrive.

Before joining the foundation, Patrick was a principal at Boston Consulting Group, where his work included supporting higher education institutions and K-12 systems through significant organizational and strategic change.

Patrick holds an MBA from the Wharton School, a master’s in educational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Carolina, where he was a Morehead Scholar.
