NEW DELHI -- The Global Development Network has launched a four-year project that aims to contribute to agricultural and trade policy debates in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia in an effort to facilitate economic growth, reduce poverty and help improve the lives of millions of people in these regions, particularly in the agricultural sector.
The project, supported by a grant of US $4.5 million by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, aims to shape north-south and south-south policy debates on agriculture and trade by presenting a timely synthesis of policy-relevant and demand-driven research findings and policy options to the policy community and other relevant stakeholders.
