The Whatcom Dream Receives $60,000, Three-year Grant – Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- The Whatcom Dream (TWD) is proud to announce a $60,000 grant, awarded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, in support of financial literacy training and community development for low-income residents of Whatcom County, Washington.

“The Whatcom Dream is about people and progress in low-income communities,” said Trudy Shuravloff, TWD program manager. “Our goal is to serve neighbors who are struggling with poverty – strengthening their confidence in their own capacities and inspiring them to take action on behalf of self, family, and community. This grant represents a significant investment in the future of our participants.”
