Marlo Hartung

Deputy Director, Strategy, Planning, and Management

Marlo Hartung leads strategy implementation, financial portfolio management and business operations for the EDGE team which is focused on reducing the burden of enteric diseases and improving access to cutting edge diagnostic and disease surveillance technologies in the developing world.

Marlo joined the foundation in 2010 as a member of the Family Planning team and has progressed through various roles, equipping her with unique perspective and historical knowledge that she employs in her current role.

Prior to joining the foundation, Marlo spent several years at Skellenger Bender, a Seattle-based family and corporate law office, working as a legal assistant. Before that, she spent six months living in South America, mentoring youth and teaching English.

Marlo graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in art history.
