Chapin Springer leads the team that communicates and advocates for the foundation’s priorities in education and economic mobility to key audiences. His team also makes grants to build public awareness of critical issues in those areas.

Before joining the foundation in 2015, Chapin was a vice president at GMMB, an advocacy and political communications agency, where he served as the account lead for foundations, associations, Fortune 50 companies, and nonprofits across areas such as education, health care, and wireless technology. Throughout his career, Chapin has specialized in advocacy campaigns, leadership voice, media relations, public opinion research, and social media strategy.

Chapin earned a bachelor’s degree at Syracuse University, is a former stage and soap opera actor, and currently lives in Washington, D.C. He is also a trained mindfulness meditation teacher.
