Deputy Director, Strategy, Planning and Management

Cambrie Nelson leads a team that supports the Gender Equality Division’s strategic, financial, and program goals and its collaboration with other parts of the foundation.

Before joining the foundation in 2021, Cambrie was an executive at Accenture, where she focused on building and expanding the Public Service practice. Her consulting work focused on supporting organizational strategy, process design, and operational effectiveness for a range of clients, including gender-equality-focused international nongovernmental organizations, government departments, and global high-tech companies. Most recently, she was a consultant for the Gates Foundation’s Gender Integration team, helping them with the design of their program and strategic implementation of foundation-wide efforts.

Cambrie has also worked in civic design, social enterprise incubation, and nonprofits. She has a master’s degree from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
