Cambrie Nelson leads the office that oversees the Gender Equality Division’s business operations, cross-divisional strategy, and leadership engagement. In this role, she serves as a trusted advisor to the division’s president and executive leadership team. She leads efforts to advance strategic priorities, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and foster cross-foundation collaboration to accelerate progress toward the division’s goals, including through oversight of the Strategic and Technical Advisory Team.

Since joining the foundation in 2021, Cambrie has played a central role in shaping the Gender Equality Division. She was a key architect of its design and launch, and she served as its inaugural deputy director of strategy, planning, and management, leading the division’s strategy and business operations.

Earlier, Cambrie was an executive at Accenture, where she helped build and expand the firm’s Health, Public Sector, and International Development practices. Her work focused on organizational strategy, operating model design, and performance improvement for clients of various sizes in multiple sectors and global contexts.

Her experience also spans civic design, social enterprise incubation, and the nonprofit sector, where she has consistently worked to align strategy, people, and execution to deliver transformative impact on a broad scale.

Cambrie has a master’s degree from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
