to test the potential efficacy for enhancing autophagy activation during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection and to evaluate if the newly-discovered autophagy agonist, DMXAA, will promote Mycobacterium tuberculosis clearance and synergize with antibiotics to eradicate persistent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infections in vivo
