Pierre Grand is the director, Office of the President, and chief of staff, Global Development Program. Pierre serves as an extension of the president, Global Development across the foundation on select programmatic issues, while driving the communication and execution of Global Development objectives, and ensuring alignment of the leadership team. In his role, Pierre oversees the Multilateral Partnership and Emergency Response teams.
Pierre Grand joined the foundation in 2010 as the business officer in the Global Health Discovery group. In 2011, he became the deputy director, strategy planning and management, for the Family Health division. From 2013 through August 2015, Pierre was seconded to the World Health Organization where he was responsible for managing and ensuring the integrity of the financial and human resources data for the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI). Prior to joining the Foundation, Pierre Grand was with Hewlett Packard, where he served in various management capacities since 1992, including business development, strategy planning, sales & marketing operations and product engineering.
Pierre Grand received a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
