Financial Services for the Poor
Improving Family Economics
Among the world’s people who survive on less than $2 a day, only one person in 10 has access to formal financial services, such as loans, insurance, wire transfers, and savings accounts. The goal of the foundation's Financial Services for the Poor initiative is to make these services far more available so families in developing countries can survive economic setbacks, build savings, and improve the health and education of their children.
