ROME -- With ample land assets and productive potential, Africa has the opportunity to reverse the continent’s rising number of undernourished, which increased from 169 million in 1990 to 236 million in 2007.

For this opportunity to be seized, it is important that the right policies are put in place, and that key investments are made to support agricultural development.
