Health Research and Educational Trust Receives Grant from Gates Foundation

CHICAGO –- The Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET) has received a grant of $287,866 from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support an international conference on the global shortage and maldistribution of health care workers. The conference, titled “A Call to Action: Ensuring Global Human Resources for Health,” will be held March 22-23, 2007, in Geneva, Switzerland. Gates Foundation funding will provide support for participants from developing countries, as well as conference planning and staffing.
