Foundation Northwest To Expand Efforts To Help Nonprofits Throughout Eastern Washington

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Foundation Northwest, the community foundation serving eastern Washington and North Idaho, announced today that it has been awarded two grants totaling $345,000 from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Pacific Northwest program, which supports organizations effecting positive change in the lives of the region’s most vulnerable residents.

A grant of $250,000 for the eastern Washington region will provide increased funding over the next year for Foundation Northwest’s competitive grant programs, specifically for health and human service providers. Recipients of funding from this grant will be selected through Foundation Northwest’s existing grant programs.
