SEATTLE -- Chicken Soup Brigade (CSB) recently announced a $50,000 gift from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The grant will provide all CSB food and nutrition program meals for nearly three months.
Today's gift marks the second year of support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Last year, the Foundation awarded $50,000 to CSB. The two combined grants have assisted hundreds of people affected by AIDS in the Seattle region.
"Chicken Soup Brigade salutes the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation both for its global work and its hometown commitment to help prevent AIDS and to assist those living with the disease," said Anna Knudson, interim director of development and marketing, Chicken Soup Brigade.
