Cyndi Lewis has led the foundation’s Tobacco Control team since 2011 and the policy and advocacy strategy for the Water, Sanitation & Hygiene team since 2018.
Before joining the foundation in 2006, Cyndi served in communications and advocacy roles at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and led forest preservation campaigns for LightHawk, a nonprofit that provides aviation services to support conservation goals. Earlier, as a consultant, Cyndi led voter ballot measures on tobacco taxation, low-income health care, and mass transit in the U.S. and worked as an election supervisor for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
