Progress Against Poverty and Hunger

We believe that progress against hunger and poverty is possible in our lifetime. Our work in agriculture is guided by two principles - we focus on small farmers, and we make investments across the value chain.

"Poor farmers are not a problem to be solved; they are the best answer for a world that is fighting hunger and poverty, and trying to feed a growing population." - Bill Gates, speaking at the 2009 World Food Prize.
