Goalkeepers Advisory Group

The Goalkeepers Advisory Group represents a diverse range of countries, sectors, and experiences. Advisors are existing members of the community who bring a diversity of skills that further the Goalkeepers initiative. Advisors advance the Goalkeepers mission through community engagement, elevation, and input.

Kathryn Finney

Genius Guild, USA

Kathryn Finney is the founder and managing general partner of Genius Guild, a $20 million venture fund that builds and invests in scalable companies led by diverse founders. She is also the founder of The Doonie Fund, the founder and past CEO of digitalundivided, mastermind of the widely acclaimed #ProjectDiane research, and a Yale-trained epidemiologist. Selling her lifestyle company, The Budget Fashionista, made Kathryn one of the first Black women to have a successful startup exit. She is also a published author and podcast host leading the dialogue on entrepreneurship, investing, and inclusion.

Maryam Uwais

Maryam Uwais, special adviser on social investments to Nigeria’s president, is a legal practitioner and human rights activist with over 40 years post-call law practice experience. Among many other public service activities, she has served on the State Counsel Ministry of Justice in Kano State, the Council of the National Human Rights Commission, and the African Union Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child. She also supervised the Federal Government Social Investment Programmes from its start in 2015 through 2019, which impacted more than 13 million Nigerians. Maryam currently works with Nigeria’s vice president on a project aimed at addressing concerns and deprivations relating to youth and children at-risk (ARC-P).

Shan Huang

Caixin Media, China

Shan Huang is deputy managing editor and editorial board member of Beijing-based Caixin Media. He is in charge of Caixin’s foreign desk, with 18 years of experience in reporting on Chinese domestic, economic, and political situations and its external relations.
Shan was a visiting fellow with the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford. He served as a senior research associate with the Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame. Shan holds an M.A. degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame.

Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng

Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng is a medical doctor. The United Nations Human Rights Council appointed Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng as Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health.

She is a bestselling author, a broadcaster, founder of OurEquity, and developer of the Sentebale health app. Tlaleng is also a distinguished lecturer at the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University and extraordinary senior lecturer at the Africa Centre for HIV/AIDS Management at Stellenbosch University.

Hervé Berville

French National Assembly, France

Hervé Berville is a member of the French National Assembly. In 2021, he was responsible for the Overseas Development and Fight Against Global Inequalities Act. Hervé has spoken in favor of a substantial increase to overseas spending on education and training for young people living in the poorest regions of Africa. He also takes an active part in fighting populism as well as racial and gender discrimination. In his constituency, his work focuses on fostering access to local public services for youth and disadvantaged people, particularly in rural areas. He was born in Rwanda and is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Sciences Po Lille.

Kristina Lunz

Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy, Germany

Kristina Lunz is the co-founder and co-executive director of the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy. In 2019, she worked as an advisor to the German Federal Foreign Office, where she conceptualized and built the feminist network Unidas. Prior to that, she was the gender and coordination officer for the United Nations Development Programme in Myanmar and New York City and worked on Women, Peace and Security during her time at the Sisma Mujer organization in Colombia. 

Kristina is an award-winning human rights advocate, was named one of the Forbes 30 under 30 (Europe, DACH) and is an Atlantik Brücke Young Leader, an Ashoka Fellow, and a BMW Foundation Responsible Leader. She is a published author writing on the future of foreign policy with feminism at the center.

Prajakta Koli

Prajakta Koli, also known as MostlySane, is a content creator and actor who started her journey as a YouTuber in 2015, with over 6.6 million subscribers on YouTube and over 4.9 million followers on Instagram. From narrating relatable comic skits to acting on the big screen, she is a multitalented creator who enjoys global recognition. Prajakta has shared the frame with such luminaries as Michelle Obama, and her short film was screened at the New York Indian Film Festival.

Thoko Elphick-Pooley

Uniting to Combat NTDs, UK

Thoko Elphick-Pooley is a Nguni woman, from Matabeleland, Zimbabwe who is currently working as executive director for Uniting to Combat NTDs—a unique and powerful global health partnership of over 300 organizations working to advance the SDG3 target of ending the suffering caused by neglected tropical diseases.  She also serves as co-chair of the G7 Taskforce on Global Health. 

Thoko has a wealth of experience in strategic leadership, partnership development, and institutional relations. Prior to working at Uniting to Combat NTDs, Thoko led the institutional funding team at Sightsavers and also previously worked for Education Action in the UK, Practical Action in the UK and Kenya, CIVICUS in South Africa, and UNESCO in her home country of Zimbabwe.
