Nomi Fuchs-Montgomery, deputy director, Evidence and Innovation for the Family Planning strategy, leads the team’s contraceptive technology and evidence initiatives and provides vision and leadership for their approach to adolescent and gender programming, ensuring optimal execution, management, and strategic partner engagement to achieve high quality results.

Nomi has 19 years of professional experience in the field of reproductive health, family planning and HIV/AIDS. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked for Marie Stopes International as the director of global partnerships and US country director, with oversight of team members in the US, Brussels, and London. Nomi launched the MSI-US office in 2010 and was responsible for the overall direction, leadership, and vision of MSI’s strategic presence within the United States and development of global partnerships throughout the organization. She previously served as the senior technical advisor for Prevention and Gender in the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator at the US Department of State, where she developed technical programming in areas of gender, adolescents, HIV prevention and male circumcision. Nomi also served as the senior technical advisor for Family Planning in Office of Population and Reproductive Health at USAID, where she provided global technical leadership for the linkages between family planning and HIV/AIDS and managed voluntary family planning service delivery projects.

Throughout her career, Nomi has developed extensive experience collaborating with international bilateral donors, private foundations, UN agencies, private companies, and leading NGOs. Her first professional assignment was as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nigeria.
