Brian Ivie

Director, Security Operations

Brian Ivie is responsible for the physical security programs, systems, vendors, and delivery of personal and office security across the foundation. Previously, Brian served as the foundation’s chief information security officer and was responsible for the strategy and delivery of a comprehensive cybersecurity program, cyber incident management, and technology vendor management.

Brian brings over 20 years of military, federal law enforcement, and Fortune 100 corporate security leadership experience. He served globally as an Army officer in various command and staff positions, and as a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he worked a wide variety of criminal, counterterrorism, and foreign counterintelligence matters. In subsequent leadership roles at The Boeing Company, Aon Corporation, and SunGard Financial Systems, Brian led converged security risk management teams, with global responsibility for securing people, facilities, and information, as well as client and regulatory compliance, and data privacy.

Brian graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point, with a B.S. in Systems Engineering, and holds an MBA from the Albers School of Business at Seattle University. He is an active member of the U.S. State Department's Overseas Security Advisory Council and the FBI's Domestic Security Alliance Council. Brian is an ultramarathon runner and avid mountain biking enthusiast.
