Dr. Krishna Jafa is deputy director for Programs, Channels, and Components on the foundation’s Integrated Delivery team. Krishna’s team applies private sector delivery, community-based service delivery, and demand and behavior change expertise to improve equitable coverage, quality and utilization of health services. Krishna is a physician and epidemiologist who has nearly 20 years public health experience working in Asia, Africa and the United States.
Krishna joined the foundation in 2013. Previously, she served as Population Services International’s Vice President of Sexual and Reproductive Health, Tuberculosis and Non-Communicable Diseases. She also served on FP2020’s Market Dynamics Working Group, and contributed to the World Health Organization’s 2014 guidance and recommendations on ensuring a rights-based approach in the provision of contraceptive information and services.
Krishna earned her MPH from Harvard University and her medical degree from Rajasthan University, India; she is an alumna of the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service (aka the "Disease Detectives").
