Daniel Kress, Ph.D., deputy director, Integrated Delivery focuses on Global Primary Health Care and Health Financing. Dan works on measurement of primary care systems and improving health system performance to improve uptake, coverage and equity for foundation priorities. Dan is a Health Economist and has worked in over 20 countries.
Dan began at the foundation as a senior program officer in Global Health Policy and Advocacy and also served as the deputy director for several teams in Global Health. Prior to joining the foundation, Dan worked at the World Bank as Senior Health Economist in the Middle East and North Africa Region where he was responsible for health projects in Morocco and Iran.
Dan received his doctorate in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also attended the Université d’Aix-Marseille III in Aix-en-Provence, France. He received his undergraduate degrees in Economics and French at the University of Montana.
