Statement on lawsuit filed against Petrobras

SEATTLE (September 25, 2015)

Contrary to some media reports, the Gates Foundation is not suing Petrobras. The lawsuit relates to investments made by an external manager who invests on behalf of the trust that holds the assets supporting the foundation’s activities. The external manager and the asset trust are completely separate from the Gates Foundation.
