Our Work in Washington State

Washington is the only state in the U.S. where all our domestic initiatives are actively engaged together. Here, in our home state, we're working to prepare children for kindergarten, reduce family homelessness, provide greater opportunities for students to graduate from high school and earn a postsecondary (college) degree, ensure that libraries maintain quality access to technology, and help at-risk families, children, and communities

Family Homelessness

On any given night, nearly half of the people who lack a safe place to sleep in Washington state are families with children—that’s why reducing family homelessness is a priority for our work here.
