Arianna Huffington: The Impact of Homelessness

During the “Get Schooled” conference, author and Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington explains how the rising epidemic of homelessness affects students, teachers, and schools nationwide. As more people lose their jobs and more families lose their homes, the distress and insecurity of being without a place to live is now a reality for more than a million children.

In this video, Huffington suggests how government, Wall Street, and U.S. taxpayers can help to prevent students from facing an uncertain future. “Isn’t it time, right now, to come together as a nation and bail out children too small to be allowed to fail before they have even been allowed to succeed?”

View "Get Schooled: You Have the Right," the 30-minute  program that highlights the lessons learned by three young professionals, showing through real-life examples how education has made a difference in their lives.
