Keeping Kids Safe from Diarrhea

In this video, we meet Jaya Choubey, a mother in Mumbai, India, who shows how difficult it is to keep her children safe from water-borne illnesses that cause diarrhea. While diarrhea is preventable and treatable, it can often become fatal in developing countries where sanitary conditions are poor and where medical care and basic, affordable medicines are not readily available. Watch this video to see how access to a hospital and to advice from traveling health care workers help Jaya's 8-month-old son successfully recover from a bout of diarrhea.
