Gates Grant Funds Australian Research to Fight Childhood Pneumonia

VICTORIA, Australia -- Murdoch Childrens Research Institute has received a US$1.25 million (AUD$1.34 million) grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help combat childhood pneumonia.
The grant will enable researchers to study different strains of pneumonia-causing bacteria to help improve vaccinations, particularly for children in developing countries.
