Creating new after-school opportunities for at-risk youth.

Throughout Washington the foundation made 14 grants totaling $2.8 million to create or expand programs for more than 17,000 at-risk youth. These programs offer opportunities for recreation and learning during the after-school hours, a time that experts say is crucial to provide kids with positive choices and options.
