Increasing access to quality early learning.
A child develops most dramatically by age three, but too often our region's vulnerable families have limited choices for their child's care and development during these early years. To increase access to quality early learning, the foundation funded five capital projects for child or infant care centers in Olympia, Puyallup, and Steilacoom in Washington and Hillsboro and Burns in Oregon. Combined these centers are estimated to serve 570 children annually.
