Making new progress in malaria vaccine development.

In October the Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI), a foundation grantee, announced promising results from a clinical trial of its leading vaccine candidate known as RTS,S. MVI, which is developing RTS,S in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline, has initiated a large-scale trial of the vaccine in Africa.
