Responding to a need

The lack of health care professionals and clinics across Ethiopia meant many families were suffering from preventable and treatable diseases.

In response, the Ethiopian government has trained over 32,000 high-school educated women to work as Health Extension Workers and teach rural families about disease prevention and healthy living.
