Funding for Tuberculosis Grants

We accept letters of inquiry (LOI) for grants in our Tuberculosis initiative. Occasionally, we issue requests for proposals (RFP).
  • The foundation awards the majority of its grants to U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations and other tax-exempt organizations identified by our staff.
  • We are unable to fund grants to individuals. (Learn why)

Funding Priorities

We support the mission and goals of the World Health Organization’s Stop TB Partnership. The goal of this plan is to treat 50 million people with TB and prevent 14 million deaths in the next decade. We’re working to ensure that better drugs, diagnostics, and vaccines are developed and made accessible to those who need them the most. We support the following strategies in TB treatment and prevention:
  • Research the basic biology of the disease.
  • Develop better tests.
  • Develop new vaccines.
  • Develop fast and effective drugs.
  • Make better use of existing methods.
  • Raise public awareness about the disease and advocate for funding.
