Funding for HIV/AIDS Grants

We accept letters of inquiry (LOI) for grants in our HIV/AIDS initiative. Occasionally, we issue requests for proposals (RFP).
  • The foundation awards the majority of its grants to U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations and other tax-exempt organizations identified by our staff.
  • We are unable to make grants directly to individuals. (Learn why)

Fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic requires global coordination, and we're working with partners around the world to strengthen efforts to treat and prevent the disease. We support the following strategies:

  • Expand access to prevention and treatment in developing countries.
  • Support model country programs to fight AIDS.
  • Develop an effective HIV vaccine.
  • Accelerate research on other new prevention strategies, and support access to those that are proven to be effective.
  • Fight the joint TB-HIV epidemic.
  • Advocate for increased global awareness and resources for HIV/AIDS.
