We’re supporting expanded access to high-quality and affordable early learning opportunities for at-risk children (from birth to 5 years old) and support and education for their families. We fund projects which:
- Collaborate statewide with public and private partners.
- Demonstrate the value of comprehensive early learning in two communities in Washington state: White Center in King County, and Yakima in Eastern Washington.
- Recognize promising models and help them expand into more communities.
- Set high standards for early-learning teachers and child care centers.
- Increase awareness and broaden support of quality early learning.
