Since 1950, global health has experienced many remarkable improvements. Life expectancy in developing countries has risen from 40 to 65 years, and the odds that a child will survive to the age of 5 have doubled.
The Center for Global Development convened a group of worldwide experts to identify large-scale success stories in global health and consider what made them work. Their findings have been published in the book, Millions Saved: Proven Successes in Global Health. The seven key lessons learned are highlighted in this photo gallery.
