Deputy Director, Program Advocacy and Communications, Polio & Vaccine Delivery

Magdalena (Magda) Robert leads a team that creates and implements strategies to increase political commitment to and funding for immunization, polio, pneumonia, and enteric and diarrheal diseases programs. Previously, she was the senior program officer responsible for immunization advocacy and supported the foundation’s Multilateral Partnerships team.

Before joining the foundation in 2016, Magda spent 20 years working for the United Nations, civil society organizations, academia, government, and the private sector. She has worked on development policies and programs for health, nutrition, education, gender, conflict, and humanitarian affairs worldwide. She served as a special adviser to Graça Machel, an international advocate for women's and children's rights, for over a decade.

Magda studied at the University of Pennsylvania and has a degree from the Haarlem Business School in the Netherlands and an MBA from Webster University.
