Geoffrey Lamb

Chief Economic and Policy Advisor



Geoffrey Lamb, chief economic and policy advisor to the cochairs and CEO, supports replenishment negotiations, interactions with high-level policy bodies (such as the G20 and the OECD), and relationship-building with economic leaders in developing countries. Since joining the foundation in 2006, Geoff has held many positions at the foundation; the most recent was president of the Global Policy & Advocacy division.

Before joining the foundation, Lamb held several senior development positions at the World Bank, most recently vice president of Concessional Finance and Global Partnerships. An Irish citizen, Lamb was born in South Africa and educated in South Africa and the United Kingdom, where he was a fellow and deputy director of the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex.
