Europe is responsible for more than half of the world’s development aid and has a long history of applying its resources, innovations, and insights to saving lives and reducing poverty. Its strong civil society has also played an important role in advancing these efforts.

  • We work with leaders and institutions across Europe with the shared goals of reducing poverty and improving health throughout the developing world.
  • In addition to building relationships with program partners, our Europe-based policy, advocacy and communications staff work to sustain European donor support for international development.
  • The foundation’s Europe team was established in 2010 and is based primarily in Berlin and London, with additional representatives in Brussels, Paris, and Stockholm.
