Lisa Christian, deputy director of Postsecondary Success in the United States Program, leads the team that is responsible for developing strategy, execution planning, and measurement for the foundation’s investment portfolio for postsecondary education innovations. In addition, Lisa and her team hold the operational and governance responsibility for postsecondary grantmaking, management, and ongoing evaluation with our outcomes based investment approach.
Prior to joining the foundation in 2014, Lisa served as a director in Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business. In this role she focused on strategy, planning, and architecture for the integrated delivery of software, services, and devices and part of Microsoft’s shift toward the devices and services business. Prior to that, Lisa was an entrepreneur starting and running her own yoga and wellness center in the greater Seattle area.
Lisa holds a BS in Management Information Systems from the University of Iowa, is a certified yoga therapy instructor and is an active leader in community organizations that primarily support the mentoring, support, and education of women and girls.
