Rachel Lenington, deputy director, Strategy, Planning, and Management, is responsible for leading the strategic, financial, and operational aspects of the Malaria and Neglected Infectious Diseases integrated program areas. She also serves as the relationship manager for the foundation’s strategic alliance with Brazil’s Ministry of Health.
Rachel joined the foundation in 2010 where she led the Product Development team responsible for developing and implementing a cross-cutting strategy to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the foundation’s portfolio of drug, vaccine and diagnostic product development investments. In addition she acted as the sector lead for developing country manufacturers as part of the Life Science Partnerships team.
Prior to joining the foundation, Rachel was Director of Global Program Management at Amgen. She began her career as a management consultant for Accenture and Deloitte Consulting where her clients included Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Immunex, Sprint, and Starbucks.
Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Washington and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
