Kellie Sloan is the director of Family Planning and leads the foundation’s efforts for creating innovative ways to improve family planning outcomes in developing countries. She oversees the development of strategies to address the obstacles that the world’s poorest women face in gaining access to family planning information and services.
Most recently she served as the director and chief of staff to the president of Global Development where she served as an extension of the president on programmatic work, critical partnerships, and execution of the division strategic objectives.
Prior to joining the foundation in 2009, Kellie was the vice president of the International Division of Starbucks Coffee Company leading the human resources function for Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Canada, and Asia Pacific. She also served as the director of organizational development for North America. Early in Kellie’s career she was a strategy and business consultant and worked extensively in India and Western Europe.
Kellie completed her studies in social and behavioral sciences at the University of Central Florida. She has contributed to numerous publications on behavioral and cultural sciences and serves on the board of directors for the Women’s Funding Alliance, an organization that focuses on improving the lives of women and girls by championing women’s leadership and bringing forward actionable solutions in philanthropy, community-based organizations, business, and government.
