To help ensure more Mexican residents can access information to improve their lives, the foundation has committed $30 million to bring computers, the Internet, and related training to Mexico's public libraries.

The Mexican government is matching our investment and Microsoft Mexico has donated $9.9 million worth of software.

By the end of 2007, we expect to have reached 2,700 of Mexico’s 7,210 public libraries, providing free access to computers and the Internet to hundreds of thousands of people who need it.
